About the Artist

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my website! I'm Samantha! 

I am an artist living in Sarasota, Florida.  I was born in Milwaukee, and have lived in Detroit; I've even lived in Ontario, Canada! 

There are many factors that have led me to pursue a career in art, but the warmth, brightness, and seemingly endless summers here in Florida have definitely flowed into my colorful creations. 

It all began in 1st grade.  I had the best art teacher, and when he retired, I was lucky enough to have Another amazing art teacher.  He let me stay in and work on my projects instead of go out and play for recess.  One of my paintings from the 3rd grade even won a competition and was shown in a museum! 

When I lost my job as a waitress for a few months in 2020, like many many of us, I was stuck at home without work or income.  I began making hand sanitizer, overcame my shyness,  and set a stand out on Lido Beach along the street. 

Not long after this, I bought a bunch of bright paint and a few canvases.  I wanted to continue on my entrepreneurial journey, but create beautiful paintings as well. 

After I filled a whole wall in my house with my bright acrylic works, I made my own website, and have been regularly updating it with my new art.  And the rest (hopefully one day) is history! So. Here we are, and I am so happy that you are apart of it!
